Discounts and Special Arrangements


Centre Operations Fee
  • This component of Total Fees is capped at 5 days per month's stay
    (i.e. 6th and subsequent days incur no C.O.F.).


Members Duration Discounts on Rent
  • 1-6 days: -no duration discount
  • 7-28 days: 10% discount
    i.e. to $71.50 per day ($35-10% rent + $20 food + $20 COF)

  • 29-90 days: 20% discount
    i.e. to $68.00 per day ($35-20% rent + $20 food + $20 COF)

  • 91+ days: 25% discount
    i.e. to $66.25 per day ($35-25% rent + $20 food + $20 COF)

Tents and Trailers
  • Tenters' rent is reduced to $10. (Thus min.total=$50/day)
  • Those with Trailers have rent reduced to $15 (Thus min.total=$55/day)


Stewards and Server-Meditators
  • Stewards and Server-Meditators enter into a formal agreement to work on community service and projects as needed.
    Stewards and Server-meditators working 6 hrs. per day have free accommodations.
    Server-meditators working 4 hrs. per day pay only the standard rate for food.


Sharing and Kids
  • Children under 12 stay rent-free in their parents' room. See chart.
  • A $5 /day rent discount applies to those sharing rooms when the Centre is full.


Specific Cabin Reservations
  • An additional $5 /day will be charged to those who specifically request
    these cabins:- Chenresig, Wind, Orion, Log, Beaver Dam, and Pyramid.

Low Income Applicants - Rates/Support (see note below**)
  • The DCC is committed to making the profound teachings of East and West accessible to all.
    We have developed two support options for those wishing to come to the DCC, with the intention
    of ensuring that financial hardship is not a barrier.
  • We now offer:
    • A low income rate : for those members whose gross income before deductions and expenses
      falls into the LICO (Low Income Cutoff ) category as defined below.
    • A Practitioner Support Fund: Everyone is eligible to apply for this support,
      which is in place to help practitioners with accommodation costs.
  • Spaces at subsidized rates are subject to availability, a maximum of three spaces per course being
    allocated to the low income rate.


    ** "Low Income" is understood by the Dharma Centre as income within the preceeding 12 months
    falling below the pre-tax Low Income Cutoff (LICO) level as determined by Statistics Canada.

    1 person: $20,800
    2 people: $25,900
    3 people: $31,800
    4 people: $38,600


Your Group's Needs
  • If your group has specific retreat centre needs which the Dharma Centre can help with please let us know.
    Many variables can affect the pricing - e.g. you may choose to bring your own cook, etc.
    Speak to our Administration folk about your requirements - we'll work with you.


Returning Private Groups
  • Returning groups with 20 people or more benefit from our Member rates.
