MESSAGE FROM THE TEMPLE PROJECT LEADER

I write this brief article as the sun sets on the tropical jungle that surrounds me here in the foothills of the Andes in rural Colombia. It’s been an amazing spot to spend part of the pandemic, while working virtually with a poor internet connection on our Temple Project. What an enjoyable challenge! Soon I’ll be traveling to the States to get my vaccine.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the Community Updates and have found them helpful. They are the result of many peoples’ dedicated efforts. There are lots of good things happening – more to be shared in upcoming Community Updates!

Remember you can visit the DCC website to view all the Dharma Centre Renewal communications to date, which include those about the Temple Project, by going to the DCC’s home page -> News -> Dharma Centre Renewal, or by clicking this hyperlink.

And while I briefly have the microphone, I want to say thank you to all of you who have put forth so much effort into the DCC in the past. We stand on your shoulders.

Thank you to those who have offered constructive feedback on the project. Your comments have been heard; please keep ‘em coming!

Thank you to the Spiritual Directors for their open minds, and to our Resident Teachers in retreat working for everyone’s liberation.

Thank you to Shelane Donoghue and Monique Truax (the President and Vice President/Treasurer, respectively) for the guidance, and the countless hours’ worth of Zooms and emails that have been exchanged.

Thank you to the Board and the Practitioners in Residence for being willing to meet so often, and for all the challenging questions you’ve asked.

And thank you to all the sentient beings who knowingly abide in spacious, compassionate awareness. May we all do the same.

Travis Olsen
