WE ARE OPENING A DCC STORE!
As we enter another year of unusually challenging times here at the DCC, together with the rest of the world, we are making efforts to cultivate and create positive initiatives to serve and involve our community. One such project has been the development of a store as a small pilot project to be launched during our upcoming spring season.
The mission of the store is to establish an on-site and online store selling handicrafts, ritual objects and items that reflect the Dharma Centre of Canada’s values and are relevant to our visitors including teachers, practitioners and the local community.
Products will include Buddhist practice support items such as bead malas, Dharma bags and incense, a selection of clothing printed with the DCC logo and beautifully handcrafted items that will be both useful and unique. Working in collaboration with communities of makers, the store will support a Women’s Coop in Guatemala, a Monastery in India and a Weaving Project in Tibet amongst others. It is important to us to offer products that benefit users and makers alike.
We are still in need of contributions for our modest start-up capital of $2500. (Our current count is at $1550). To make a donation please send an e-transfer to adminoffice@dharmacentre.org, indicating that the donation is for the DCC store.
We look forward to welcoming you back on property and pray that all of you will be able to visit us soon to explore and benefit from the DCC's many offerings!
